The True Impact of Talent

A Mercer’s Talent Trends study, as quoted on HR Drive, states: “In emerging markets such as India, Brazil, and South Africa, the competition is even more cut-throat. It’s a talent-demand market, which means that companies need to up their game in order to attract (and keep) the best and the brightest.” Competition in the talent war is tough because organizations recognize the value of attracting and retaining their star employees. But more than meeting manpower needs in the workforce, leaders, general managers, and talent management practitioners need a deeper understanding of how talent affects the organization. While job descriptions and roles to fill may be clear to most managers and recruiters, few understand how talent as an organization’s asset can impact stakeholders.
