Asia Pacific showed the greatest increase when it comes to employee engagement. This is according to Global Employee Engagement Report 2018. It has been reported that the rise in global employee engagement is attributed to the Asia Pacific Region. Countries such as China, India, Japan and smaller rebounds by Malaysia, Philippines, and Indonesia showed an incredible rise. However, it can be noted that Singapore did not increase in its employee engagement.
There are many reasons why employee engagement increases. One of these is on the talent management strategies of the companies involved. Research showed that career opportunities are the top drivers of employee engagement in Singapore. The others include senior leadership, enabling infrastructure, work/life balance, and talent and starring. Rewards and recognition topped that in the global arena.
